Cedar Point!

this was a fun ride!
Brian and Karla on the ferris wheel.
prior to getting on the Magnum
the Top Thrill Dragster was awesome!
This morning, I drove to Sandusky, OH to go to Cedar Point. My friends from Maryland, Brian and Karla, are on assignment in OH, so I met them there. I also got to meet their friend Brenda who came along for the fun. I must say that Karla and Brenda are awesome amusement parkers! We went on rides non-stop all day. Some of the rides make Brian sick, so he only went on a few of them; however he was great too! He never complained about holding the backpack and he was supportive of our rollercoaster riding. hint hint.. Kraig!

Anyways, we got to the park at noon and closed it down at 9! We rode just about every rollercoaster, ate at Chick-fil-A (in the park), and hit a few other rides too. I have not been to Cedar Point for a long time, but I can definitely say that it kicks Six Flag's butt! The rides were great, and there were so many. Some of our favorite rollercoasters were the Millenium Force, the Raptor, and the Maverick. Even though the Magnum is 20 years old, it was my favorite rollercoaster. It is still rated #7 out of the 10 best rollercoasters in the world. I like upside down rollercoasters, but I prefer high drops and fast speeds. On the Magnum, that first drop is excellent, and the fact that the ride is almost a mile long is great. I hate waiting in line for a 30 second rollercoaster! However, I did get the chance to ride the Top Thrill Dragster which was a 17 second ride, and it rocked! I got a bit of an adrenaline rush from it! The ride goes from 0 to 120mph in about a second and then shoots you straight up 420 feet and right back down. I loved it! Thankfully, the best part of the day was that we never waited longer than 30 minutes to get on a ride, and in the evening we usually only waited 5-10 minutes in line. Being a Wednesday, the park was not too crowded.

I can't believe that my dad and I used to wait to hours to ride one ride!

After riding the rides, we always checked out the pictures taken of us while we were riding. They were so funny! Brenda, Karla, and Brian love to scream, so their pics were priceless. My hair was always standing straight up. Another ride that we loved was this one that swung you high in the air and spun you at the same time. It was really fun, and it felt like it was flipping you. we ended the day riding the Demon Drop. I am not sure that I am a fan since I had my mouth open when the car dropped, and I choked on my own spit. ewww. We also rode the Raptor one last time.

It was definitely a great day, and I am so happy that I went! It was good to see our friends again. I drove back home after we left the park, but I was so happy from the day that I didn't even get tired once.
