turtle time!

Kara and I volunteering (Libby the sea turtle is also pictured)!
Libby up close and personal, she is here because she had a fishing hook stuck in her tongue which caused an infection

Blue had a fishing hook stuck in his left front flipper, the flipper had to be removed because the infection had spread to the bone. he still does a great job swimming!

Gideon was being crazy today, he kept putting his head right under the water spout and leaving it there, i swear he was following me around the tank too!

I volunteered again today with the sea turtles! I love being a docent. I got grilled today by a bunch of kids and even a few adults- but I fielded their questions well. I love to use the sea turtles to help me teach people about the environment. They are so cute that it is hard not to want to help them. I volunteered again today with my friend Kara. It is fun to go there with someone else. We checked out the gift shop today. I know that I will have to buy some stuff in the next few weeks!
Some updates about the turtles, my favorite turtle, Tobie was released last Friday along with Ichabod. I also liked Ichabod because he was pretty spunky when they took him out of the tank for treatments. I hope they are doing well, and I am excited to come back next week to see how the others are progressing.
