Happy Thanksgiving!

Happy Thanksgiving to everyone. We hope that everyone was able to eat their fill of their favorite holiday foods! When it is a holiday, we both miss home a little more. We are both lookming forward to being home for Christmas! Anyways, we started off our day by going to the movies. The matinee show is $6- and since that is a deal for out here, we went to see twilight again. Kraig and I really got hooked on it the first time. The scenery in the movie also makes me want to go up north again... just not back to Seattle! I wonder if the vampires have ever seen Bigfoot... hmmm.
Anyways, then we hung around the house. It was really rainy on Thanksgiving and for the past few days. In the evening, we joined Mateo and his family for Thanksgiving. We traveled to Sun City, CA to his Aunt's house. Anyways, We had all of the same food and tons of it! Turkey, ham, roast, potatoes, pie, broccoli casserole, stuffing, cranberry-marshmallow goodness, sweet potatoes, salad, and ENCHILADAS with guacamole (I think that's what they were). They were so good, and I am going to have to get the recipe. The main difference was that their family is huge! I would say there were at least 40 people there! Very overwhelming for this only child! Actually, everyone was very welcoming and very nice, especially Mateo's immediate family. It was just fun to see so many people in one place! We all shared stories, and Kraig and I really enjoyed ourselves. Mateo's dad is a pipefitter so he had someone new to talk about work with! Once the food settled, we ended up playing Rock Band. The drums are definitely the best part! We stayed at his aunt's house for almost 6 hours! It was really fun, and we were really happy to be invited. Thanks!

I've been meaning to check this to see how you guys really felt about it. Actually we're Americans. Which is why we celebrated Thanksgiving. Just like the white folk. But we also happen to be Hispanic. So our food's generally better.

I was right. It was Lumpia. Not Enchiladas. One of my grandma's friends made them. and knowing grandma and her friends. Chances are the recipe isnt written down anywhere.

I half wanted to bring up a little story Craig was telling at work about how he saw a video where there was an accident and then a whole lot of mexicans then proceeded to exit the vehicle. got to where you could see the house and how many people were in it. that's why we're able to cram so many people in vehicles.

And in my defense. i'm a pipefitter too. i just dont enjoy talking about work. I can harass grandma to harass her friend for the recipe, but chances are she'll just make more and then pass them along. but i'll try.

Anyways, I am sorry that i did not say you were a pipefitter.. i know that you are, and I appreciate that you do not talk about work.. kraig loves to talk about it, thats why I wrote what I did, I will look for the recipe online and you do not have to bother your grnadma!

its arlight, grandma likes it when people acknowledge shes alive. shes getting old & recently had to sell her car because she just couldnt pass her driving test. it took her something like 5 failed attempts to call it quits. so I'm sure she'll be harassing me to drive her some place. sometime.

i was just teasin ya. its fun sometimes to force people to be even more politically correct than they already are.

anyway... naptime. i gotta get to class soon.
