Yesterday was our 2 year wedding anniversary! It's hard to believe that just a couple short years ago we were all dressed up and being married! We celebrated by buying new sheets (since tradition dictates that cotton should be given on the 2 year anniversary). We also went to South Lake Tahoe and went parasailing. It was awesome! I have never been and always wanted to go. Kraig has been before but said this time was much better. We went up 1200 feet above Lake Tahoe. It was great because you could really see how blue the water is and see all of the beautiful scenery. The best part was the take-off because you could really feel the wind take you away. Once the parasail is up in the air, it feels like you are just hanging there in the sky. It was so much fun. Near the end of our ride, they yelled, Happy Anniversary! and dipped us up to our faces in the water. Kraig fell out of his harness a little and got what is called a "parawedgie." The guys driving the boat were laughing at him, but he tolerated it just fine- and also enjoyed the flight. The parasailing was really fun, and I am glad that we got to do it!
Later that night we went to dinner at Ichiban Japanese Steakhouse and sushi bar at Harrah's casino. We dined, teppanyaki style- which means they cook your food right at the table. The chef uses a lot of fancy knife skills and does a lot of tricks where he tosses the food in the air and catches it in different ways. We had a great dinner and even got drinks out of some specialty mugs! I had chicken and filet mignon and Kraig had seafood! All in all, we had a really great day.
