Kraig, Baxter, and I made the drive back to Michigan once kraig got off of work on Friday morning. Baxter was really good in the car once again. The drive took about 6 hours... which is much better than the 10.5 from Maryland!!!
Oh how we have missed our house! It was nice being there and opening everything up. I got so much fresh air that I fell asleep in the doorway while Kraig was working outside. Even Baxter is happy to be home because he has so much room to run around and has stairs to climb!
Friday evening we went to visit Kraig's dad. We got to see a bunch of people including Pat, Butch, Shirley, Dave, Lynda, and Olivia. Olivia has gotten so big! Bart has gotten big (aka fat) too! Kraig, his dad, and Butch shared a few bags of boiled shrimp. They were pretty tame about it for a change but still got their fill. We had a good time talking with everyone and drinking Pepsi.
On Saturday, we went to my sister-in-law's house for pre-Easter dinner. The food was great, especially the ham. The nephews had Easter baskets and we all decorated eggs. Their egg kit came with glue and sequins so, needless to say, I spent a good half hour (or more) on my one egg. I also got to meet Kraig's cousin Julie who is living with my mother-in-law. She is very nice, and I think she liked making Easter eggs as much as me! Afterwards, we went to meet my friend, Val's new baby. Val had baby Emily on February 19. She was a really good baby and barely cried while we were there. I fed her a bottle, which was a first for me. You know me, I am not too sure about babies- but Emily tolerated us really well! She was pretty cute too!
On Sunday, Kraig and I went to my parent's house for Easter. The whole family was there and was surprised to see us. I do not think that I have been home for Easter since we started traveling so it was really fun. We had another great meal. My grandma made broccoli-cheese casserole which was a treat. I enjoyed visiting with everyone and playing CLR with them too.

We went home to finish our laundry, and while we were waiting for things to finish, we went to visit our friends Justin and Teresa at their new house. Kraig also wanted to visit their weiner dog, Scrap.
We ended up driving back to the extended stay pretty late. We were both really tired, and it was nice to jump in that big king-sized bed (even if it was only for a few short hours).
