out on the town

Tonight my doctor friend and I (Paul) hit the town. We had a great time running around DC and hoppping on and off the Metro. We started out at happy hour at La Tosca, a tapas restaurant in the heart of DC. After some sangria and some tasty appetizers, we decided that we were too hungry for the froo froo food (even though it is really, really good) that we were eating at that particular restaurant and changed our plans.
Thanks to my new phone with Internet capabilities... we found ourselves a Pizza Hut in Dupont Circle! We went there and ate an entire pizza (bad idea) before meeting up with some of his other friends later that night.
This was the first time that I did something non-touristy in DC. It was really fun, and Dupont Circle was a really cool area. Definitely one of the places to be on a Saturday night. We went to a few parties on the "International Scene," as Paul calls it. I met a bunch of interesting people from all over- even someone from Transylvania. The people were pretty cool, and it turned out to be a fun night, despite my not feeling so hot after eating all of that pizza...
