Bowman!

Today I met up with my friend Katie Bowman. She lives in Hawaii with her twin sister, Amy (who was my college roommate and swim teammate). Katie comes to Maryland from time to time for classes at the Maritime Institute of Technology. She has had many awesome jobs on ships all over the world.
Anways, she was in the area and we went out for dinner. We had a lot of fun and some good food. The dinner also went well because she decided not to wear her mime costume (inside joke- just deal with it). She loves Hawaii and says that it is 80 degrees there right now. Both of us were upset at the fact that the weather here is cold and that we have to wear coats and shoes. Why am I in Maryland again? Hopefully I will get a Hawaii assignment and the Bowman sisters can show me some fun in the HI sun- because they are crazy (in a good way). I was happy to see Katie but wish Amy could have been there too!
After dinner, she was going out with her surfer/boat captian friends. It was ladies night at one of the bars and drinks were free! Most regrettably, I had to go into work tonight at 2300 and had to opt out. Sometimes it really sucks when you have to be responsible.
