I live in the set of windows on the second floor with the little porch
the pool that is "closed"
I love my apartment and the apartment complex. It is second best only to San Diego, and well.. that one will be hard to beat.

The whole complex has kind of a mountain-y kind of feel but nice colors: yellows, creams, light browns, and greens. It is really cute- especially the main office (shown above).
My apartment is a bit smaller than usual (I think), but it still works. The kitchen is nice and all newly remodeled with new appliances and black countertops. The bathroom is very small though, but the shower has hot water with good pressure... so that's the most important thing! The living room is nice with big windows, and the porch is nice too- but I just use that to dry some of my clothes!
Anyways, the main reasons that I like this place are that they have a recycling collection area in the parking lot, the pool has two lap lanes, and the rec center is really nice. It has a wonderfully rubbery scent with weight and cardio machines that all actually work and are up-to-date. It even has a racquetball court. The other residents seem much nicer here than they did in Southern Maryland... they hold the door open for you and actually say hello. Some of them, my younger friends come over to visit and never want to leave (not in awhile though, thankfully)! Oh yes, the main office also puts cookies out for the residents! They slack on this though, so it is not as great as it could be. The other bad thing is that my mailbox door always fall off....

It looks pretty nice but I don't understand why there is a fountain in a swimming pool. What does the inside look like?
i guess the fountain isnt there in the summer, there are actually two fountains... they just put it for show there when the pool is closed. I do not think it is fair to make the pool look so inviting when they have it locked up so tightly.. it was "closed" when my assignment started even though it was still 80 degrees :(
