Baltimroe Duck Tour

Well, we made it safely back to Maryland last night for our Baltimore date today. We went to Baltimore with our friends Brian and Karla. We started out the day with lunch at the Lexington Market. It is supposedly the oldest farmer's market in the country. It is also home to Faidley's Seafood. Their crab cakes have been voted some of Maryland's best for a number of years.
One of Brian and Karla's goals while on assignment was to locate what they beleived to be the best crab cakes. So far, these are what they found and is what they shared with us. We all had a lump crab cake. Now, I am sure you all remember how I feel about eating seafood- pretty much, I don't eat it. Well, I did have a crab cake. I was a little bit apprehensive, especially when Brian pointed out to me that I was only eating the crab cake batter. I eventually ate the crab meat too, and they are actually pretty tasty!
We walked around the market, had some dessert, and then headed to the Inner Harbor. We walked down to the Inner harbor to join the Baltimore Duck Tour. All of us had been on the tour in Seattle and wanted to take it here. The tour was pretty good and it was fun touring around at a whopping 6mph in the bay. There are some great old neighborhoods in Baltimore. I think that Kraig had the most fun quacking away with his plastic duckbill.
We also did some shopping in some of the shops along the water. Karla and I have excellent taste in crab/touristy merchandise. Check out our crab hats! We ended the day at the Ruby Tuesdays near our Wal-mart rendezvous point in Bowie, MD. It was such a fun time! I am going to miss them so much in a couple of weeks. All of our assignments are ending at the same time. I may just have to go back to Florida during the winter to work with them after all!
