We had a busy day yesterday! First, Kraig and I finally made it to the infamous In-n-Out Burger. Supposedly this is the fast food preference of a true Californian. The line is always out the door for the dining room and out into the street for the drive-thru. The food was not bad and it was not really expensive (I am still a McDonalds girl at heart though). The coolest thing about the place is that there are only really 3 choices of things to order... a hamburger, a cheeseburger, and a double cheeseburger- so the line moves really fast! Kraig and I both had cheeseburgers and fries. Now that we have been there, I guess we can call ourselves true Californians!

Later that night, we went out for Halloween. We spent our Halloween at the Whaley House. There are many stories surrounding this house and its dark past- and there have been so many ghost sightings there that it was rated the Most Haunted House in America by the Discovery Channel. It was open for tours at night on Halloween and we could not pass it up.
We bought our tickets and had some food and drinks at the Mexcian bar across the street before we went into the house. The house was pretty small, but in its day it acted as the first two-story house in California, homes for various famlies, a place for hangings, a courthouse, and a theatre. The most famous people that lived there were the Whaleys and we got to tour the rooms in which they had lived... and died... mwuhahaha..
It seems there were too many people to have seen or heard anything strange in the house while we were there. However, outside of the house, the San Diego Ghost Hunters set up a sound system which is supposed to transmit the spirit energy in the air into words annouced throught a loud speaker. Whether it's true or not (and I like to think it is- so we will go with that), it was pretty cool. I kept hearing it say the word "milk." who knows. I took many pictures inside of the house trying to catch anomalies on film. The San Diego ghost hunters asked me to email them some of my pictures, so I will keep you updated if anything is discovered in them! I hope so- it would be so cool! Anyways, touring through the house was a really neat way for us to spend Halloween together, doing something that we will probably never get the chance to do again. Plus, we met some cool guys- Robert and James, standing in the line behind us. We talked with them and also toured the house with them. Then we found out that Robert is the voice recording on the phone for the San Diego Zoo. He is mailing us some free tickets! It was cool, you never know who you are going to meet.
