Virginia City Camel Races

On September, 7 we went to the Virginia City International Camel Races. Virginia City is a neat place- it's definitely an old western/cowboy/shoot-em-up town. It was also really high in the mountains and really HOT. Halfway through the races, I got really dehydrated and possibly had altitude sickness. I got so tired that I couldn't breathe! Once I got in the car and into the air conditioning, I felt much better. Anways, the camels were pretty funny! Although, I think that the weiner dogs could have actually beaten some of them. They would run around in circles or run the wrong way. They would also try to throw their riders off! There is actually an association of camel riders that come to these events! Anyways, my grandma collects camels and we went there in honor of her. I wonder if she has ever seen a racing camel...
