Winnemucca, NV

Yesterday, we left Clarkston, WA and drove through a lot of Idaho. We stopped for lunch at a Chinese restaurant in Mccall, ID and clarified with our waiter.. that they are indeed called "Idahoans." Then we drove to Boise. Most of our route followed the Salmon and Payette rivers. There was a lot of beautiful scenery, and most of the time the river was filled with whitewater rapids! It was awesome, and we are definitely going whitewater rafting while we are out here.
So, we got to Boise about 6:15pm only to find out that everything closes at 6:00pm! Keep that in mind if you ever decide to go there! So, needless to say, most everything was closed. We did walk around town a little just to see what it was like. Then, we left and went to Nampa, ID where we bought some potato merchandise at the truck stop.. you can always count on truck stops... and took our picture with some authentic Idaho potatoes at the grocery store. I love potatoes!
Then we ate dinner at Carl's Jr., and yes, if you were wondering- they still have Captain Crunch milkshakes! Then we drove into Oregon hoping to stay the night somewhere. Well, take note of this too, there is absoutely nothing in eastern OR. We almost had to sleep on the side of the road because Kraig was getting sleepy... at around 12:00 am- but we ended up making it to Winnemucca, NV. Also of importance, I got 33.2mpg for the day.
