fun times

Yesterday. Kraig and I hung out by the pool for a little while and then went into town to buy inner tubes (more on the later). Then we ate dinner at a restaurant called the Claim Jumper. I thought the name sounded neat so we went there. Anyways, Kraig ordered a Jamaican sweet potato, and I tried some. It was the weirdest taste, and it took me a second to make up my mind- but let me tell you, I am a believer in the Jamaican sweet potato! We found a recipe on the Internet and we are going to try and make it ourselves.
Today, we went to see Batman: The Dark Knight. By the way, movies in Reno cost $9.25-$9.50/person depending on the day of the week (unless you go to the matinee). Let me tell you, this movie.... was excellent. We totally recommend it! Kraig and I agree that it is the best movie that we have ever seen. It's the kind of movie that you do not want to end.. you just want it to keep going! Go see it if you can! After the movie, we took our newly purchased inner tubes to the Truckee River in downtown Reno. This river flows through the downtown area and the city built a whitewater park on part of it. It has a bunch of small rapids and a few bigger ones. The park is pretty cool, because it is like a beach in the middle of the city. Tons of people go there, lay out in the sun, hang out, and ride down the river in inner tubes + it is free! It was so much fun- except for the fact that it beat us up! It's kind of like a more up-scale lazy river except for that the rocks are not smooth and made of rubber! Kraig got really banged up and I hit my tailbone on a few rocks! We went down the river 4 times and had so much fun playing in the water and falling out of our tubes. we will definitely go back! Hopefully we will get some good pictures from our water camera.
