Okay, so I have now worked 3 nights in a row, and going back for #4 tonight- so I cannot be held accountable for what I write here.. My job is soooo hard. I have never had to work so hard, run around so much, discharge and admit so many different patients, do so many different things (like give respiratory treatments), and keep track of different kinds of charting. After the first night I was in shock and did not want to go back, but it has gotten a little better. I will definitely not be picking up any extra shifts though! Everyone helps each other, but it is just really busy. Since you kids are not there, you can not judge me and just think I'm lazy! Hopefully it will get better, and hopefully I do net get sued for saying these things!
On a lighter note, Kraig and I have become real "city slickers." We have a small push cart to pack our groceries in, so that we can walk to and from the supermarket. Also, I took my first ride on the city bus to get home from work this morning. It was very exciting.. and on time! Tomorrow we will be flying home. (Hopefully our flight is not cancelled). Can't wait to see all of you!

I LOVE respiratory treatments !!
love, mom in law
I know you do!!! and now I know how to do them too! I was just shocked that I had to do it. They only have RTs at this hospital to do ICU/ventilator stuff and codes... I miss having an RT to also come assess my patient throughout the shift!
