catnip frenzy!

My goal for today was to try and combat Baxter's affinity for scratching anything and everything that he is not supposed to. I bought him a couple of "scratching posts" of sorts- one sits on the ground and one hangs from a doorknob. I also bought this spray to put on the furniture which will supposedly deter him from scratching. Hopefully it really does work!
He definitely likes the "scratching box," but the catnip inside of it may help that. Here is a picture of my baby high on catnip for the first time.

He also enjoys the "scratching carpet" that hangs from the doorknob. Instead of just scratching his little claws over and over on it.. he has opted to just climb up it. I know he will figure it out someday, and for now, it is just really cute!
