Well, I finished my first week of work- and it is not bad. This hospital is older and smaller than what I am used to, and it is a non-teaching hospital. It does not see, like there is enough staff either, but, hey that is everywhere I go. I think it will be okay though. The union halls down here have plenty of people already laid off, so Kraig is figuring out if he is going to stay down here or not. Hopefully I can find him a job so he will stay here!
Today we went down near Jensen Beach and ate at a place near the water called Mulligan's Bar and Grill. After dinner we went to see the Curious Case of Benjamin Button. We both liked the movie... and if you are keeping track- movies cost 9.50/person here.
Also, earlier today, the apartment complex delivered our much anticipated microwave and washer/dryer. yay!! Tomorrow, we are going to Salerno Beach for their seafood festival. I have promised Kraig that I will try lobster...

Well, I guess that answers my question about Florida being receptive to new hires. Rumors at my workplace indicate that there's going to be another round of layoffs. You know now pharmaceutical companies send out all that free crap like pens, calculators, and notepads? Some new law now restricts that and it was a big part of our business. We are now in the process of destroying a lot of that inventory. After it's all gone, who knows. I hope you land something Kraig!
I forget, is there something about the way seafood tastes that you don't like?
no- i just decided when I was in 5th grade that I wanted to be a marine biologist and I did not think that I should eat fish because they would be my friends...(btw, this blog is not a place for judging)
^You totally should have sued Pixar over Finding Nemo.
Kraig is a welder right? If he doesnt find anything down there let me know! The guy across the street is a spot welder. Maybe he could find something up here in Jacksonville, he could probably stay with me and that way he would still be in the same state as you.
thanks season- i told kraig to call you!
and to david.. that's right! fish are friends not food! ha!
