Well, today we drove from Seattle to Spokane, WA (for you Sarah), through a little bit of Idaho, and stopped for the night in Clarkston, WA. On the way we had Arbys for lunch in Moses Lake, WA. Then we stopped in Spokane. It was actually a pretty cool city- a bit out of the way- but nice nonetheless, pictures and more info on this topic to come later. Then we crossed into Idaho and ate dinner at the A&W in Moscow- for those of you who like to follow our travels on a map. My mpg for the day were 34.3. My car was only quoted at 31mpg highway- I am so good! Anyways, we saw a lot of beautiful scenery today. We drove through the Casacade Mountains, then through desert, to come to farmland- with wheat fields and silos as far as the eye can see. We are having fun and plan on going to Boise, ID tomorrow!
Oh yes, today I realized one thing that Washington does not have.... it DOES have glaciers, volcanoes, tide pools, whales, the ocean, mountains, temperate rainforests, and deserts... but it does not have lightning bugs! It's a good thing we got out when we did!
