tide pooling!!!

So on this past Monday, Kraig and I went to the tidepools at Abalone Cove near San Pedro. There was a low tide that day (-1.3) so if you get there before the tide goes out you can look at all the animals in the shallow water. You can touch everything too! We saw sea anenomes, spiny sea urchins, small fish, hermit crabs, a couple of other bigger crabs, limpets, sea slugs (actually called sea hares), starfish of a few different colors, and an OCTOPUS! We could see his tentacles. It was awesome. We had such a good time climbing over all of the rocks, almost falling in a few times, and being so close to the ocean . kraig is really good at spotting the animals when they are hiding! He had a really good time too. We want to go again somewhere else! We stayed there for 3 hours and experienced the tide coming back in.
