my new hobby

I have a new hobby that I am not allowed to talk about. I had never heard of it until a few weeks ago. I was introduced to it by a "friend." I guess it goes on all over the country. Sorry, but I guess I must remain cryptic. I am not even allowed to post pictures! Don't worry, it's not illegal. It is not a cult, or a gang, or a secret society.. well maybe it is a secret society of sorts. Who knows. All I know is that it involves a bunch of people that get together in their respective "clubs." They run/walk around following made up trails in the woods or through neighborhoods throughout the MD/VA/DC area. They also like to "socialize." It is actually pretty fun. Everyone has a made-up name, and they sing crazy songs and have crazy rules about how to "socialize." It is really just a bunch of adults that get together to act dumb. For the most part, I love it! Anyways, do not judge me. It is fun. It is kosher. I do it in moderation. I am being safe, and I am there with and stay with people I know. It is helping me meet people that I hope I can hang out with outside of this "get together." I also get a chance to see parts of the surrounding areas that tourists wouldn't see. I get to wander through actual neighborhoods and get a feel for the area.
I have not done as much sightseeing on this assignment as I have in the past, but I have actually met and hung out with a lot more people than I usually do. As Dave Matthews sings, "Eat, drink, and be merry for tomorrow we die." ;-)
