home
Well, we have been home for awhile now. We got back into town on Dec 20th... when it was -3!!! A far cry from sunny, southern California. We have been having a good time at home- had a great Christmas, love sleeping in our own bed, and are enjoying the break. However, I am sick, and we cannot seem to readjust to the time difference. We will be ready to leave for the sunshine on Jan 15th... I am pretty sure. Anyways, I do not have the internet handy, so I will update the blog eventually. :)

I'm sitting in the airport waiting for my flight back to San Diego from Washington D.C. it's pretty crowded here, & as it goes, you cant help but over hear peoples conversations from time to time.
So I'm sitting here trying to occupy my mind doing logic puzzles, no joke, I really bought a book of logic puzzles. I was thinking of getting porn, but that'd have made it a harder flight. Theres an older guy sitting across from me, a younger lady next to him, not thinking too much about it.
After a while, it becomes pretty apparent that they're a father/daughter pair. She starts playing with her phone, then starts complaining that her battery's almost dead. the dad tells her, "You're going to have to turn it off once we're on the plane anyway." She responds, "I know dad, I'm not retarded."
That knocked me a step back, just for it being so blatently rude, especially to ones dad. But it didn't hit me NEARLY as hard as as his response.
"Sarah, I've never told you this... but you ARE retarded."
I was laughing so hard I was crying. I finally had to walk away.
Just figured I'd share that with you guys. Florida yet?
hahaha... that IS funny. nope, we will be leaving for Florida on Jan 14th.

you guys should come back. i've been back 4 days & already hate working with the guy I'm working with. i need kraig back.
this other guy works 2hrs in a 10hr day, goes on walks for 45mins at a time, & complains when I jump in the forklift because he hasnt done the certification on the job.
which leaves me to drag lead, gather tools & material alone, move stuff without a spotter, & get a verbal warning from the job steward about "wandering around the job" when I'm looking for jack stands, rigging or chainfalls because he wandered off to talk to one of his friends.
throw in the fact that of the 3 apprentices on the crew & being the highest year apprentice of the 3, it is now my responsibility to make sure the welders rod caddies are plugged in, & carry vinces caddy for him where ever he wants it. I'm not working anywhere near vince but now I have to carry his shit for him.
so as bad as you thought things were when you were here kraig, they've become even worse (at least for me).
I'm just curious if he's trying to get me to drag up by putting me to work with this guy & giving me all the fucked up shit to do.
