Mission Beach

Surfing today was a little chilly despite the wetsuit. It was also a bit foggy due to the Santa Ana winds. No matter- it was still fun, and I am still getting up on the board. No major wipe-outs today- but there is still plenty of room for improvement! I love it, but I need to get Kraig out there because it is so much more fun to brave the forces of nature with someone else!! Today there was a flock of pelicans that were skimming the waves looking for fish. They were pretty awesome because they would fly right in front of the wave as it was breaking. They would get so close to the wave but it would never get them! It was really neat to see. I think I am going to go back on Thursday...
