Santa Nella, CA
Tonight we are staying in Santa Nella, CA. We have a bit of a drive to get to our apartment in San Diego tomorrow. Anyways, we spent most of our day in Santa Rosa, CA. We went around the town to find the statues of the Peanuts characters that are left from the last few summer's celebrations. Unfortunately, they did not showcase any statues in 2008! Oh well, we also went to the Charles Schulz museum and an ice rink that was also owned by him called "Snoopy's Home Ice." We had fun in what we call "Snoopytown." At the museum, I learned that the characters in the cartoon strip are named after people in the author's life. Also, I learned that Charles Schulz went to art school at a school that places ads like... "draw this picture and have your artistic talent scored and win prizes." He also was a teacher there....and I thought those ads were a scam! There was also an exhibit that talked about how past presidential elections were respresented in the Peanuts comics.. Kraig and I both agree... Snoopy for President!!
