our time back home

We flew home on 7/31. When I got home from work that morning, I found that our original flight had been cancelled. We scrambled around to find a new flight. Thanks Expedia. We actually got a better flight (no layover) for the same price I secured back in June! The flights went well until we got to O'Hare where they messed up our baggage, and it took over an hour to find it! We ate at Denny's coming home.. thanks to Kraig's mom for picking us up.
The next day we worked hard to get ready for our party. It was a piratin' good time- We dressed up, of course.. and so did some other people.. kinda. We will look forward to you trying harder next time! Anyways, I had so much fun on my first ever slip-n-slide (even though I have my unorthodox way of doing it). I think everyone had a pretty good time. I had fun decorating with a pirate theme.. and Kraig and I both enjoyed being able to see most of our friends all at once. Argghhh. it be a good time, you scallywags.
The next day I left for my arthritis camp! My muscles were actually sore from the slip-n-slide.. how sad!! Anyways, it was great to see all of my camp friends again.. once again... camp delivered- it was one of the best weeks of the year! It is great having scheduled nap times, all of your meals cooked for you, crazy activities, and staying up late with old friends laughing at things only we think are funny! Kraig came for skit night, as always, and then stayed the night.. so he got to partake in the fun! This year at camp- I acted as the camp nurse in training. It is a lot different than being a nurse in the hospital. I liked it though, hopefully I can do it again next year! I love camp!

While I was at camp, Kraig hung out in Niles visiting with friends and family and working on the house. I think he was happy to be home watching his giant tv! The last few days that we were home were spend eating out at Red Lobster, hanging out with my family.. eating my grandma's wonderful spaghetti and Chex Mix! It was really fun. We were glad to attend a family get-together because we miss so many while we are away... We spent a lot of our time watching the Olympics, doing laundry, hanging out, and eating. We flew back on 8/12 out of O'Hare after eating at Steak n'Shake. They don't have those out West! We made it back to Reno safe and sound and back to our family of quail!
