SAM

Today, Kraig and I went to the Seattle Art Museum (SAM). It is about 15 blocks away from our apartment, AND on the first Thursday of every month- admission is free. So you know we were all about that, especially since we are not real art aficionados. Before we went into the museum we ate at the art museum's Taste restaurant. They serve all organic, fair trade, and locally grown foods- so the menu changes with the seasons. We went pretty much right after Kraig got off of work so that we could make it to Happy Hour! Appetizers were only $5 a piece.. so you know that's what I went for! Still our meal ended up costing more than I thought. Oh well. At the end, we had lemon poppyseed ice cream with a cookie and caramel sauce. It was so good that I dug out the caramel sauce from the bottom of the glass with the skinny end of the spoon! I really had fun at the restaurant because I have been trying new things lately. I think it is because I am addicted to the show Top Chef. Also during dinner.. these ladies all dressed up in pink poodle costumes and big cake costumes walked by. They were tossing flowers for May Day. I love all of the "hippie freaks" here! They are my peeps!
Then we went to the art museum, which was nice- even nicer because we got in for free! We saw a lot of furniture and glass pieces which we liked. In the end, it was just a fun little evening.
